Meet Michelle Myers
Veteran Homeschool Mom • Trusted English Tutor • Academic Mentor
For nearly 15 years, I've helped homeschool students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers through literature-rich English instruction. As both a homeschool mom and tutor, I understand the challenges families face when teaching high school English at home.
Over the years, I've discovered that strong English instruction is about more than completing assignments or checking boxes. It is about helping students engage deeply with great books, communicate clearly, understand language, and think critically about the world around them.
That's why I created English by the Books™, a literature-rich approach built upon four essential pillars: Literature, Writing, Grammar, and Literary Analysis. Together, these pillars help students develop the skills and habits of mind they need for college, career, and life.
Whether you're teaching your first high school student or preparing a college-bound scholar, my goal is simple: to help you teach English with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
